Our History
Precision Gate Rollers was born to meet the needs of automated gate installers. We were a distributor of gate operators in the northwest. We had a very difficult time selling slide gate operators to companies that installed Cantilever gates.
In 1993 most installing companies were using cast iron rollers that were rough and out of round because of the casting process. These cast iron rollers made it almost impossible to move the gate, it made the gates heavy and awkward. Installers were frustrated because these cast iron rollers were all they had available. The gate operators sold at that time were unable to move the gate, because the safety obstruction sensors shut them down.
Precision Gate Rollers introduced the first precision machined, maintenance free cantilever gate rollers to the fence market. The difficulty with the cast iron rollers turned out to be a nation-wide problem. We are proud to know that we responded quickly to solve this flaw in gate rollers.
There are now many counterfeit copies of our products. We have been copied but never duplicated. We use the finest formulations of a very tough nylon. All of our brackets, rollers, and mounting bolts are made right here in the USA. We make more mounting post sizes than any other company. We will not compromise quality for price. Our products are worth what they cost because they do what they are designed for.
